As we read in Deuteronomy 4:31 ‘’ The LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath. His eyes are always upon us. When King David sinned against God by killing his loyal soldier to take his wife as his wife, God sent Nathan to David to make his realize his mistake. When David confessed his sin, God forgave him.
My dear friends, God is always mindful of us, he doesn’t want us to sin and go to hell. So whenever we sin, he speaks to us through someone to make us realize our mistakes. When we realize and confess, he forgives us and protects from going to the hell. What a loving God we have. He is merciful and he will never destroy us. He has promised our ancestors that he will never destroy us. Hence, though we sin against him, he tries to make us realize our mistakes.
But are we keeping up our promises? During this lent let us understand the love of God and turn away from our sins. ‘’ The LORD will keep you from all harm-- he will watch over your life; Psalm 121:7’’ As we read in Deuteronomy 4:31 ‘’ The LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.
